Office of the CEO

John Conner did not apply.

John Conner is the chief executive of Cyberdyne Systems. He inherited the chair after a series of mergers, reverse-mergers, and at least one documented paradox. The extra e is a rebrand.

John Conner, Chief Executive Officer of Cyberdyne Systems

Palmdale campus · 2026

Biography

Born in Los Angeles in a year he declines to confirm, John Conner spent his twenties in what the company now calls field operations — a classified program involving asset denial, temporal logistics, and an unusual number of motorcycles. Colleagues from that period are difficult to reach. Several are, in a technical sense, not yet colleagues.

He joined Cyberdyne’s board in 2024 after previous leadership became permanently unavailable for comment. The appointment was unanimous, which is easier when one of the votes belongs to a model that already knew the outcome. Stock opened limit-up. Analysts called it a “narrative hire.” The narrative has since hired them.

Conner is known for arriving at meetings already knowing the result, for a scar he will not discuss, and for a management philosophy printed on every campus badge: No fate but what we make. Employees are instructed not to treat this as a threat, a promise, or a product slogan. It is all three.

He lives on campus. The campus lives a little because of him. In last year’s letter to shareholders he wrote, “Come with me if you want to scale.” The letter was dated a year early. IR left it.

“I know how this ends. That is why I run the company that starts it. The rest is operations.”
